- MONOPOLY P.C. was first written in PR1ME BASICV on a PR1ME 550 in 1979.
- It is still on that system today as a 9 player (inc. computer player)
- game with trading and merging. When I translated it UP to MBASIC, I
- took out the trading and auctioning aspects and made it a "solitaire" game.
- In it's place, I have tried to maximize the communication aspects of the game
- and make this more in line with what Monopoly (C) purists would like to
- use to practice their strategy.
-
- MONOPOLY P.C. has been designed to minimize your keystrokes. ALWAYS use the
- ENTER (or RETURN) key for the first response in parentheses at a prompt.
-
- If you want to check up on old games, the file MONOPOLY.REC contains results
- and which random numbers were used as 'seeds'. You may TYPE this file.
-
- By the way, MONOPOLY P.C. is faithful to the rules of the Parker Brothers
- game. If you want to check the rules, buy Monopoly (C) and play along!
-
- You have the opportunity to control the environment (display speed, colors,
- and sound) by using option 9 from the decisions menu. The default settings
- are NO delay, BORING monochrome colors, and the sound starts off ON.
